A Thankful Heart part 4

For real? Tomorrow is Thanksgiving?? This year has blown my mind. Today I have a tad bit of shopping to do. I need things like deodorant for my lovebug, sweet potatoes, and maybe a new shirt to wear tomorrow. Off to Target I go. Yep. Today I am thankful for Target. Especially the Super Target I go to a few times a week. It's my happy place. I love that I can get everything on my list. The clearance section is magical, and I can keep Landon happy with a bag of popcorn and a drink.. (and lets be honest, it makes me happy too.) I really enjoy getting a personal pan pepperoni pizza from pizza hut every once in a while, and this time of year the peppermint hot chocolate from starbucks makes shopping like a dream...as dreamy as it can be shopping with 2 littles. I know it's crazy, but I  like it when we run out of diapers or if I need new face wash..those are perfect excuses for a trip to Targ.  If that wasn't enough to get me excited, how about the new cartwheel app? If you frequent target, and enjoy saving some moo-la..this app is for you. Discounts on EVERYTHING. Even the popcorn and soda. So go ahead and get your shopping clothes on, and hit up "The One Spot." Also, you're sure to feel the magic of Christmas, what with all the decorations and Christmas music.

Thanks Target.

A thankful heart part 3! An ode to my love.

Yesterday marked the magical day when Logan and I got married 5 years ago. I love that guy with all my heart, so today I am devoting my thankful post to him. My Lovebug is everything to me. We met when I was just a few days away from turning 18. He just got home from his mission 3 days earlier, and I heard from all kinds of people what great guys the "twins" were in the moore family. I already knew the rest of the family, and of course, I thought they were all pretty incredible..so yeah I was curious about these twins. I had seen a family picture a while before meeting him so I already knew he was a dream boat. Unfortunately, the day we met was in the midst of a break-up between me and my high school boyfriend. Needless to say, that night was not the "love at first sight" moment that would have made for a sweet story. Instead, I was distracted and a little heartbroken, and he was quiet and a little bit awkward about being around a bunch of people after being in brazil for 2 years. We did chat for a few minutes, that was that, and I didn't think much of him for the next few months. The next time I saw him was thanksgiving morning at the singles ward turkey bowl. He walked onto the field looking (in my eyes) super foxy, really he looked kind of silly with his under armour gear and sweat bands, but it was as if the heavens opened and I KNEW I wanted him. badly. I told his older brother Kyle, who I had gotten to be close friends with, that I was interested in him and that I wanted him to put in a good word for me and help me out. He was all for it, but little did I know that pretty much every other single girl that knew him was thinking the same thing I was. Oh, and Tanner, the other twin, got snatched up real quick by my childhood friend Alana FAST. The fell in love on their first date, and decided to get married. So a whole lot of attention was on my lovebug. I had  my work cut out for me.  Lucky for me, I was awfully determined to make him fall in love with me. I watched football for an entire Saturday one time...and he hadn't even kissed me yet. I knew it was love people..I only went to the football games in high school for the social aspect..my back was usually to the field. With a lot of phone calls, texts, and shameless flirting,  Somehow he really did seem interested in me, and from the first thanksgiving I have never ever thought about anyone else. We fell head over heels in love, and we spent a year getting to know each other and falling harder and harder. The man of my dreams took me to the Temple almost exactly one year after I knew I wanted him to to be mine at that turkey bowl. We spent that next thanksgiving on a cruise ship on our honeymoon. Sometimes I can't believe that I really did marry the man of my dreams. He is everything I ever wanted, and so much more than I ever asked for. I loved him so much on our weddng day, but somehow I love him more now. It really is an incredible thing, marriage and love. I am the luckiest girl in the world, and I don't know why he chose me, but oh I am sure glad he did. I love you my sweet love bug. Here's to eternity together! xoxo

A thankful heart - Part 2!

I'm a tad bit late on this post, but last week was a busy one! I had the opportunity to drive home with my brother in law Brandon who was in Arizona for the weekend, so on Monday I hitched a ride back to Escondido with him. No one knew I was coming except for my parents, so it was really fun to surprise everyone, especially my sweet sister who has been on bed rest for a few weeks..(Her little baby boy was trying to come out just a bit too early) I absolutely loved hanging out with her and being by her side as much as I could while she was bored outta her mind :) On to my thankful's...

My Daddy: I love this guy so much. Since Brandon drove me to California, I needed a way back home. My sweet dad without any hesitation said "of course I'll drive you back!" So on Saturday morning we got in the car and he drove 5 hours to take me and my littles home to my lovebug, and he was on the road again the next morning to be back home in time for a big family get together at his house. He told Landon that he would give him a penny and a half for every mile that he was a good boy on the drive, by the time we got home they both held up their end of the deal so we headed out to Target and Landon picked out a new Lightning McQueen car :) What a fun Papa he has! I love you daddy!

My Health: A few weeks ago I got hit hard with the stomach flu (my poor family followed suit shortly after) and I kept thinking how grateful I am that I don't have to feel like crud every day! Ugh we seriously take feeling well for granted. I'm also blessed with healthy children, I can't imagine having to see my little's suffer the way some parents have to. That's definitely something I'm always thankful for.

The Voice: Yep. This is my favorite show, and I look forward to it every week. I love every judge, I love that there aren't any annoying auditions, and I have a big crush on Adam Levine...who also happens to be People Magazine's Sexiest Man Alive this year. So I guess this year I'm also thankful for People Magazine...ha ha.

My Chloe: This little girl is my best friend. And she's seriously the sweetest thing ever. Even when she tries to be sassy, it's just funny because she's still sweet. She loves me, and I love that. She cried for a while last night when we put her to bed, and as soon as Logan brought her in to me, she was happy as could be and so cuddly. After I had Landon, I said I would be happy with all boys. I'm thankful that Heavenly Father knew me better and sent me my little angel. She might choose cars over barbies, but she'll be wearing bows while she's doing it.

P.S. My Christmas decorations are up, holla!

A thankful heart, part 1!

Hey Aleigh Joy, you've inspired me! I'll be posting once a week for the rest of the month to say a few things I'm thankful for. Whether it's big or small, silly or serious, it's a lovely idea to get me in the holiday spirit. After all, I do have so much to be thankful for it's overwhelming sometimes.

My home: I absolutely love this little house I live in. It is perfect for my family. We have 3 bedrooms, a garage, darling shutters, and great neighbors. We found this place completely by accident and the longer we live here, the more I realize how much it wasn't an accident and all and Heavenly Father knew this is where we needed to be. We are walking distance from Logan's work..the fact that he doesn't have to commute is a huge blessing and I love that when he's done with work at 5:00, he's home by 5:05. and this brings me to my next thing to be thankful for..

Logan's Job: My sweet husband isn't working for free anymore! We have been looking forward to the day where Logan could actually work and get paid for it for years. We are so lucky that he was able to get a job that he enjoys and provides for our family right out of school. He works a ton of hours, but a few days a week he's home with us in the mornings and he's always home in time for dinner, even if it means we eat at 7:00.

and lastly, my Landon Boy. This kid drives me crazy and I really wouldn't have it any other way. If he wasn't his crazy, high energy, big spirited boy that he is, my life would be incredibly boring. He keeps me on my toes and makes me laugh all the time. Last night he couldn't find his bear before bed so he put his sunglasses on and searched the house. I don't know why.. but it was funny and I went to bed happy. I love him.

tune in next week! xoxo

It's Official.

It's Official. I love Arizona. I have been hesitating to say so, because I wanted to make sure I really could live through the heat...well here we are the middle of October and I love this place. We moved here in May, so yes, we lived through the worst Arizona has to offer, and it hardly bothered me. Now that the weather is cooling down, I'm fully enjoying it. The mornings are chilly, the afternoons are warm, the nights are perfect for evening walks. But the real reason why I'm loving it is because of the people. We have a really wonderful ward..we have made so many friends. And lucky for us, our closest friends are literally our closest friends! Scott and Bonnie live just around the corner, and we spend a lot of time with their cute family..hopefully they aren't getting sick of us..ha ha. Landon has a lot of friends that we go to the park with and he's doing a little make-shift pre-preschool with 2 little twins his age that he loves to pieces. Logan is playing flag football on Saturdays and softball on Thursdays, and I'm just enjoying my days with  my sweet littles. They drive me crazy and I wouldn't have it any other way. Logan works with the deacons in our ward and has funny stories to tell every week (apparently last week one of the boys let one rip right before the closing prayer). I am teaching primary and Landon loves nursery..halleluiah! It only took a year and a half! I feel so blessed, and I still feel so good about being here and knowing this is where we are supposed to be. I think we'll stick around a while. :)

I think it's weird.

I spend a lot of time in pinterest, too much time. I just can't help myself..I love the humor page, the food page, the home décor page, I can't get enough. But there are some things that drive me crazy.. like the fitness pins...why must the girl who lost 30 pounds drinking gross shakes and doing butt workouts be wearing black lace undies? I'd even be okay with tiny nike shorts, lets just end the lingerie photos to get people to start working out..PLEASE.

Also, there's about a million and 1 pins dedicated to healthy foods..which is all great, I love healthy food...as long as it's supposed to be healthy..but as soon as I see a recipe for chocolate chip cookies made with zucchini and apples I want to run fast in the other direction. Sorry people, I'd rather just eat the zucchini and apples..then wash it down with a warm melty buttery chocolate chip cookie...but that's just me.

Last week it was time to cut Logan and Landon's hair. Before we started I told landon to take his shirt off so hair didn't get all over it.. He misunderstood and came outside naked as can be.
After we fixed that problem, he insisted on cutting dad's hair. Pretttttty cute if you ask me.

I'm never bored with my sweet landon boy around. I love him.

My chloe girl has been attached to me for quite some time now. I love that she loves me, but my goodness she is just my little shadow. If she's not sleeping..she's on me. Good thing she's really stinking precious, and a cute accessory for me :)
