A cookie worth blogging about

If you're anything like me, you love the oogey-gooey-ness of a chocolate chip cookie. I think it is the perfect dessert, there is nothing like a warn chocolate chip cookie fresh out of the oven.

Only problem is I discovered I cannot bake in utah. Seriously, I have attemted the perfect cookie countless times here in this state, and sure they taste okay, but they are always flat, too crunchy on the edges and still doughy in the middle. Well tonight I really searched the web until I came across a recipe that seemed really great and quite different than what I had used in the past.. the outcome was a SUCCESS! My eyes almost watered a bit when I pulled out the cookie tray from the oven, they looked beautiful, and tasted so scrumptious. I thought it was only fair of me to share this recipe with my bloggie friends.

Best Chocolate Chip Cookies...Seriously
1/2 cup Butter
1/2 cup margarine OR butter flavored shortening (I used shortening)
1 cup brown sugar
3/4 cup sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
3 cups flour
3/4 tsp. salt
3/4 baking soda
1 bag chocolate chips

Bake at 350 for 10 - 12 minutes

Enjoy this! and really try it, especially if you live in Utah, it just might lift your spirits :)

You have to adjust when baking cakes and cookies at the higher altitude in Utah...Most cake mixes will tell you how to do it on the side of the box
